To me i'm going to have to say it's a Jewel. But it could be a hybird but i'm gonna say a Jewel.
I work a 2 LFS and when they come in they look pretty ****ty and colorless.
I can't really tell untill he's chilled out and regained some color, then you can make a more accurate opinion.

I'm still going to have to say it 's a Jewel of some kind because when i bought my JD's they had the faint lines running down the body this speices doesn't have that and if it's a younge fish where are it's faint lines running downit's body??? look at my JD's they ain't young anymore like but look to see what i mean.
the body is pink/purplish - exclusive only in males. Females are a much more dark gray-black-ish color throughout the body. The irridescent markings are reasonably well-defined circles and do not heavily extend below the lower half of the gill plate.
The only thing on the fish which would make me belive that this was a JD is the black mark extended down the lateral line of the fish just behind the gill plate. please look at the jewel i have found at:
