Is this a KKP?

I picked up two blood parrots today, I am hoping they are KKP, and I hope they will grow a kok.

Does it show any potential?

The smaller one shows similar features but better color. Both shy right now, will update when they come out of hiding and settle into the tank.

I bought some Hikari blood parrot food for them. Anybody use this?

cool thanks, what should I look for if I want one that will develop the head growth?

Some had less pointed faces, and a steeper slopeto the forhead.
 
Yeah for sure thats KKP. A very nice one. It looks male to me. I dont know about the kok potential, but I assume there's a possibility for that just looking at it. It's gotta be the tank boss to have that though. Cant just be a weak fish in the tank and grow a kok.

maybe you could try that grand Sumo Head growth stuff... there a bit pricy but alot of the Flowerhorn guys feed there fishes that!
 
Thanks, they are very scared i hope they settle in quick and feel like they are the boss so they develop kok.

Thanks, I hope it sprouts something. i was picking this one out hoping for a male. The smaller one I tried to pick female, but could be male because it has pointy dorsal fin.

There are more colorful ones at the store, I have thought about picking up maybe one more for an odd number.

I paid $40 for this one, and $17 for the smaller one. Will try for a pic tonight of the small one.

Is that an ok price?


How about the food? Anybody use this Hikari product?
