Is this a leach? A worm?

lol i might get some from a bait shop but i dont think bait shops carry them around here since they dont want the sea lamprey to spread to other lakes and since when they're small theyre similar... i still want it!!
leeches don't crawl like most worms. they "walk" on both ends. that is the best way to identify a leach. also, they are usually black. i'm betting you don't have a leech.
looks like some kind of segmented worm (possibly a young earthworm). hard to tell, not the best pics.

Thanks for the input. This one didn't seem to move like an earthworm though.. what made me think it was a leach was that it would flatten it's head out and pull itself with it (assuming it was the head end).
I don't know, but they are a popular bait. Fish supposedly don't like to eat some species of leeches, like horse leeches. I don't know how harmful they are to fish, but unless someone provides evidence otherwise, I wouldn't want them on my fish. I would assume in a aquarium, which is smaller than in the wild, that they could overwhelm the fish.
puffcrusader696, just so you know, some leeches can leave the water. These are mostly tropical kinds, but I think there might be some in the United States. I'm not sure, but until you're sure, a secure container would be a good idea. It has been a long time since I've seen the t.v. show, but I think medical leeches can be fed from sausage casings filled with fluid. It probably was some sort of blood.
