The shot above contains 2 females, and a male.
The male is in the lowest part of the shot.
At maturity males have a high, bulbous profile, note the more gentile slope of the females.
The biggest problem in this type gender ID, is that if there are any more dominant cichlids in the hierarchy of the tank, they can influence how gender presents, so that high profile may not appear.
But another problem, is that certain females if the more dominant cichlid in a tank, might show a steep profile, below a female.

So as you can see, gender differences can quite plastic, depending on the situation, and hard to discern from simple photos.
Do you have other cichlids in the tank? (not just Paratilapia, any kind)?
If so.........Are they more, or less dominant?
