ok thanks fishingout i actually decided not to breed yet, maybe in 2 or 3 years. also if i bought a male ebjd would i get some sweet looking fry even though only one parent was the ebjd? also if i moved one of the females out of the main tank what size tank would she need if it was just her?

its more complicated than that. Not sure on exact specifics but it requires inbreeding.

found this.

If you breed EBJD + EBJD, no viable fry, they usually die in a month or so. Something to do with a lethal genetic combination.

EBJD + JD = 100% BGJD, as far as I know raise them like regular JD fry no special care for them.

EBJD + BGJD = 50% EBJD and 50% BGJD.

BGJD + BGJD = 25% EBJD, 25% JD and 50% BGJD.

Now to raise the EBJD fry you have to feed them live baby brine shrimp so you will need to learn how to hatch and feed them to the EBJD fry. The EBJD will also have to be separated from the other BGJD and regular JD fry because the EBJD will be out competed for food. You can usually tell the EBJD apart from the other fry at about 3-4 weeks.

ok thanks it will be a while, my folks say i have to be at least 16=( that really helps though. thnx guys
