Yes thats what I thought it was. Now go fatten her up slowly.

is she eating at all ?

she looks close to death to me . that huge dent between the eyes isnt good. i think they get that after the hip bones are showing lots like a sign of severe starvation :s obvioulsy not intentionally but shes not been eating much .

certainly not a good sign . but she made it from where ever into your tank and still alive so there is hope :)

Glad you got the net off, Id be scared of getting stung. Godd luck getting her healthy. Keep us posted Im anxious to see what happens her pattern is very pretty :)

Am worried sick too. Though she's pretty active, I haven't seen her eat anything since she arrived. I had the same experience with my first motoro but she pulled through nicely.

I've tried feeding the new one crushed massivore pellets, cichlid gold pellets and lastly live worms. but not with much luck. Both the new ones move slowly towards the food to check it out, take the food under their discs but am not sure if they eat it at all. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm also feeding the other, older ray in the tank chopped frozen fish, which am hoping may work as a last resort.

Any suggestions ?? The new rays are active and moving about. What else can try and feed em ?

I just read that juvi rays stay under their mother. dont know if its correct but if it is i think i should provide a similar shady, short hiding space with some holes for letting the food slip through ??

get a shady spot for them... but i highly doubt that is true, some adults will eat the pups, thus i always take my pups out of the tank as soon as they are born
