So my tanks have a 10ppm rise in Nitrates every 7 to 10 days. Depending on how heavy I feed.
Is this a normal rate of increase?
Ammonia and Nitrite are always zero.
One tank is heavily stocked 40 breeder and the other is a moderately stocked 29 high. Both have 12 in tall Anubias plants. The 40 has pothos and parlor palm that rooted themselves into the tank substrate. Makes a cool jungle of roots for fish.
Thank you for the late night help

So far the best idea I've had to fertilize the plants is to use a foliar apray on the parts that have grown past the tank.
Anyone else can feel free to comment on the Nitrate levels or fertilizing emersed plants.
It's almost 9pm over here. heehee I personally haven't fed my pothos but I would think foliar feeding would be very effective as the nutrients are available to the plant quickly
Lol, lucky
Sweet I have a plan now. Buy some watersoluble fertilizer and use a diluted mix in a spray bottle and spritz weekly.
I should post photos. Tomorrow there will be pothos photos.
