Is this A NTT?

Picked up his twin yesterday!! Took a chance that the two would be OK together since they spent a few months together at LFS....they are doing great together the new addition is not 100% stable....does not turn black like my IT but his bars are not always as vivid as they could be.

Question: i always try and create an environment to suit the fish rather than myself....Should I remove the hiding place in the tank ( a nice pc of driftwood) to better show off these new stunners?? I notice many tanks with more active dats and would love to see more of mine but not at the expense of there well being!

I would say no. Just keep it in there and i'm sure they'd come out eventually. I usually stay by my tank when I feed so they have to come out to eat and that got my dats used to me
