Is this a peacock??

I just purchased a suppossed Apache peacock at my local lfs store for 30.88$can. He is 1.5'' What do you think?

looks like a peacock cichlid rather than a peacock bass, but i'm no cichla pro at all.....

almost certainly a peacock female of some type but incredibly difficult to tell which without the shop telling you. ive not heard of an apache peacock. another good reason why you shouldnt really buy a fish without knowing what it is first. im not sure of the canadian exchange rate but in USD that fish is worth about $8-10

"Peacock bass" or "peacock cichlid"? ( i know they are both cichlids but im going by the lfs typical names)

looks like a red shoulder peacock female or juv male!!!!
