Is this a rare fish?

Before you all buy them, keep in mind the size of the fish, they start out small, but get huge.

Your 75 gallon tank will not suffice
 
I don't know if I would pay that much for them but they are not as hostile as some make out. My friend has a pr. of 4" that get chased by a 5" green terror in a 150 grow out. of course that will change prbaly when they hit the 8-9" range

It takes a while though. Mine gave me around 2 years to get an 8' tank
 
Ok, so their not "rare". Well, they're a lovely and magnificent pair to watch. Isn't it fascinating, how a female fish can look totally different from the male fish? So these guys get huge you say, how big are we talking about?

My male dovi is 17 inches and blue, his mate from the same sapwn is 12 inches and gold, they do not even look like the same species.........you had dovi not long ago, right? Hapeens in lot of animals

No, I never had a dovi and I know it happens with a lot of animals. I just think its awesome to see it.
