Is this a real breed of dog?

pitbull's scare the hell out of me, but a pitbull with a mane, now thats just freakin insane :|

lol why are you people scared of dogs, i mean they have been domesticated for hundreds maybe even thousands of years. If you dont think you can fight a dog, what good as a human are you?
 
My friend had a ridgeback that ate the interior of his car when we were in the supermarket.

Came back like 30 minutes later and it had pulled all the stuffing out of the seats and ripped down the headliner.

I couldn't stop laughing.

i've been around dogs my whole life, iv grown up with them and i know their not blood thirsty killers, just something about pitbulls and their whole locking jaws and they were bread as fighters turns me off a bit.
 
To answer you question. NO, the is no such thing as a "Rhodesian Ridgebacks".

Pits are good dogs, but not to be trusted with kids. I have owned many pits...and i trusts them around adults, But never kids. In a scene, i fear these dogs due to there temperament, i fear these dogs due to the fact that if they "snap" at my boys, imma have to put him/her down. I will not own one in till my boys get in to there teen's.

Perhaps it is because some dogs were specifically bred by humans to fight humans in the first place. ;)
Anyway, the dog in the picture has a wig on, I can see the fake ear.
