i think the convict is under him.. the fish you see is an african cichlid.. hopefully a female kenyi for my male..
 
this one is def. a red devil, what kind of fish are those in your avatar?

thats what i thought they were, wasnt sure tho. i noticed what you said the fish in the right corner was after i posted sorry.
my rbp hides all the time, he is about 4.5" how big of a tank do you think i would need to put 2 more in with him, i want him to gain some confidence. and do you know how i can sex it, is there a way to tell by fins, color, eye location...etc?
 
it will be hard to put new piranha's in the tank because it is his tank now.. as for sexing them that is really hard if not impossible.. best way is to wait till they pair off..
 
i know but i could transfer them to a new tank, right? i put a 8" pacu in there, it was fine, then switched the pacu to a 6"oscar and it was fine. now hes by himself. would a 55 house 3 rbs? do you have any pics of your setup?

i hear alot of ppl say my tank is too small but my pirahna's are health and not attcking eachother. yet. i have 9 rbp's in a 50 gallon with a cheap 70 gallon filter and one rock sculpture and gravel. if i was you when i add the other piranha's i would divide them in the tank and see if they notice eachother.. and put in goldfish the same size as them.. the goldfish will live untill they are very hugry.. the should eat the GF before attacking eachother.
 
ok thanks, i will be transporting the piranah i have now to a totally new tank also, just like the ones i will be getting so i hope they will all be fine in a 55, maybe ill go with 4 more so ill have a school of 5, that would be pretty cool
