Definitely not a Festae! I agree with everyone who stated false red terror (Mayan Cichild)Cichlasoma uropthlamus. The eye on the tail is big. I added a photo of a Red Terror.

Thats a Mayan Cichlid. At their best they don't look like festaes but they look awesome as themselves. Some look nicer than Festaes. It's people that are false in mistaking them. So It's a Mayan. Not a False Festae either.

It's just not a Festae. It's not a bootleg anything bro.It's a Mayan Cichlid..If you want to see a real bad ass Mayan cichlid, go to the lfs Tokyo Aquarium I told you about. 10/10 super studly young Mayan there. Nicer than a Festae Im not kidding

Yeah false red terror is just an old common name for the Mayan. Agreed, it's not the best nickname. Reminds me of... "not the mama".

After further research I agree its a Mayan! I got jacked! Lol! Only cost a couple of bucks so I'm not worried. I'm curious to see what this guy looks like once he's grown.
