Is this a true hystrix?

I'd say orbignyi stingray. I had one that looked exactly the same, also labeled as hystrix but is definitely not

indeed, the one i purchased a couple years back looked like this and was listed as a hystrix as well in LFS, and ID'd on here as an orb.

+1 On the Orbignyi. I had a clown at the wholesaler I go through sell me the same ray with several reassurances that he had a "True" Hystrix. Definately do not it get it if you don't want a ray that gets disk widths in excess of 20".

It's not a Hystrix.
But in The Netherlands, and Germany we can still get Hystrix.
My LFS had some weeks ago.

agreed, if an orb like we're thinking it is, it could get to 36" in disc. definitely not one of the smaller captive rays.
