with all the talk about the name changes and classifications ect, what does an actual exCichlasoma Ornatum look like, and what does a exCichlasoma Gephyrum look like? Atromaculatum looks much different and has different features than the cf. Ornatus that I have in my tanks. The cf. Ornatum that i have behave very very similar to the atromaculatus that i have (personal observation) breeding is about the same. both fish are extremely hard to pair and spawn. i have a unique interest in festae - atros - ornatum - and istlanum<--(different beast, i know)
It sounds like im contradicting myself saying they look different but behave similar, i know, but its just a personal observation
