Is this adequate for 1 betta per cube

Betta trio
These things are back to front! The filter is set up so you have;
Flow into filter chamber from tank,
ceramics then carbon,
a space,
sponges x2,
another space
flow pump.
either space is for the heater.
The whole filter section is baffled.
(not mine but I help set one up)
filter currently runs like this,
space, heater, sponge, floss, carbon and ceramic, return pump.
(one sponge spare)
also, after some consideration I've decided this isn't exactly right, it needs adjusting to
space, sponge, floss, C&C, heater, pump. I think that would be best to prevent collected debris recirculating when you change the floss.
(the way it should be set up according to the box would see the bio media clogging prematurely forcing you to buy replacements, my honest opinion, it was designed to earn them money on spares)
it took lots of fiddling to get it working properly and the first chamber (flow pump into tank) is like a torrent, this (I think) is too fast, I made a DIY spray bar to soften the flow.
The tank holds 1 Betta, 3 dwarf puffers and (not yet but soon) some shrimp.
the lights work really well, they can grow plants! I mean they work!
The betta has built several bubble nests, tank started end December 2014.
