Is this DELHEZI healthy

YES thanks soooo much everyone. i will try that pellet trick. my baby senagal eats pelts and anything i throw at him. hes silly this is a blurry pic sorry.

nothing wrong with it, seems healthy and greedy,
the color will stay still, depending on the environment, the only variation you would see is rather light or dark on the whole body color. But the pattern will remain forever.
 
probably substrate is too light so your delhezi isnt that green

Yup my tank is bare bottom and my del has similar coloration. Markings a bit different.
 
Stop feeding rosies. They contain thiaminase, which breaks down vitamin b1 and is very bad, and live feeders can have all sorts of parasites and diseases.

If you just stop feeding rosies, he'll get on pellets eventually. Bichirs can go months without food, and some are stubborn enough to do so. Not common with delhezis. I'm sure you'll get him on pellets in a couple days.

I'd also recommend replacing that gravel with a darker sand. Sand is a lot easier to keep clean and a lot less likely to cause problems if it gets eaten.
 
Nice looking del. Dun worry about the lighter colour. It will change to a darker green or yellow tone as it grows bigger. I had a few, that look like yours, grows up different to be different from its initial colour.

BTW if you wnat your del to grow faster and fatter, feeding live feeders is ok, provided your quarantine or salt bath them before feeding it.

I have had many Polys grow very fast and fat on a diet of frozen shrimp, silversides, and pellets. Feeders for bichirs are not neccessary at all for good growth.
