I would suggest researching the nitrogen cycle, understanding htis will greatly aid in maintaining your tank. Buy a quality teat kit and learn to use properly. A 90 gallon tank with your stock is not going to have a nitrate level that is very low, you will need large frequent water changes for this. Also standard aquarium filters do not reduce nitrate levels, you need be more concerned with ammonia and nitrite levels regarding your filtration.
