I came home to find out that one of our cats had opened the bird cage and one of them was missing. After looking around the house for 20 some minutes, I finally find this...a cockatiel wading in my diy 55 gallon sump. lol

lol - glad the bird made it....

Too bad it didn't get in the large container of water directly above that.

I think it's actually a good thing it didn't get in there, I was imagining the mess we COULD have come home to...we had feathers everywhere as it was. Imagine if the Jar had seen the bird and decided to go for it...large fish on the floor...

lol...nice one wurm.

I am just glad that I don't have glass lids, where there could have been a chance that the aro could have tried to jump out and get him.

IN and he wouldn't have had to jump:)

Actually I know that worry. We had a bird in the fish room and we were terrified that the fish would try to get it before we did.

I wonder if cockatiels can swim...I guess there is only one way to find out. lol

Holy hell that is crazy! One damn lucky bird to not end up in a Jars or cats stomach!

The only night I ever owned a cat I woke up to find both of my parakeets missing!
