4 NTT datnoids did not quarentine....
Developes what appears to be pop eye 4 days after buying. Happened to stop into fish store while coming home from work and saw the bro's and sis's all dying in the tank I purchased them from 4 days previous. Only thing I seen was white dots on one of the 4 dats fins. So I figured ich which was expected seeing I bought them the day after they arrived. was going the fish store to get ich medicine now that I think about it.
Then my bigger NTT that I had for about 8 months gets it and dies. With a new symptom which is what appears to look like flaky skin. Not white cottony growths. Treated for pop eye with tetracycline. But the dat did not survive due to what I believe to be that I chose not to administer the 2nd dose of tetracycline on the second day due to a power outage. and all I was able to do is buy a battery operated air pump so I figured wait till the power comes on in a few hours(ended up being 24). But maybe it wasn't pop eye but ich. The flaky skin went away with first dose.
Now my mono pbass was flicking on my driftwood yesterday and at night he was swimming wobbly while chasing the smaller bass.
Today he is breathing really heavy and just stopped eating. Fed earlier and went to feed again and he acted like he wanted to attack it but didn't. The scrawny one ate again. The other one would of if he wasn't breathing real heavy I know it(fat cow).
Tomorrow I know the eyes will be bulging and he will die.
And I fear this won't be the last. I have more fish in there and don't know which one will be next.
The only thing I can think of is that it could be ich???
The only sign I see is the flicking that would think ich(no white spots on my bass yet. Does ich cause bulging eyes?
What should I teat???
