Many years ago i had a male Motoro that did exactly the same,he was one hyperactive stingray.You will probably find he will always be more active than the others,the fact he eventually resumes normal behaviour once hes at rest suggests nothing is wrong,rays with this kind of active lifestyle need to eat more to maintain a healthy weight.......great looking rays by the way!

My rays play in the bubbles too. They must like the way the bubbles feel, my motoro parents like to lie on top of the large airstones. The smaller ones like to go back and forth in the bubble curtain and I have another one that likes to cruise along the surface around the edge of the tank making loud slapping sounds. Sometimes I can hear him from across the house! Rays really are cool and they do seem to have different personalities.
it just looks like it's trying to swim and get some exercise. i take it that's a temporary tank for it based on the questions of new tank.
