The water from inside my house is soft and acidic while the water from the hoses outside is hard and alkaline.

What could be causing this ?

there should not be that much difference unless the water is from two different sources like a well or on has a softner on it

ok thanks Ill look into the water softner, both water sources come from the city.

Yah their isn't a water softner hooked up to the house's water supply.

what else could cause such a difference?

Like I said before the house doesn't recieve well water.

then again this house is messed up when you plug the vaccum into a certain outlet it nocks out the satelite for the tv's reception.

what are the other possibilities

possibly you have mineral buildups in the plumbing that leads to the outside? you must have some buffering agent the is in the outside plumbing since you have ruled out any water conditioner inside

What material is your water pipes? Also, please post the pH and hardness readings of both the interior and exterior water tests.

Definetly would say the plumbing. Pipes in side might be plastic(new ones)
which out side might be copper pipes or some metal..
not really any other possibilities cause its not like your on 2 water grids is it?
unless yours using tank water out or inside?
