thanks for the tip

what exactly does that mean, when stingray pokes his eye out. i had humarosa ray a while back. he would swim like that everytime i did water change. but he was fine and was getting pretty large the whole time i had him. i ended up selling him

if you look at the top of the water, you can see her eyes out side the water. Im not saying she is just sitting this way.. she swim floats up, stayes there for a bout a min, glides back down and the goes rt back up..
his eyes are not out of the water more than 5 seconds, she seems to like having the filter waterfall on her head..
kinda having fun it seems to me, but I just wanted to see if others out there have their rays doing the same thing.. seems they do... its just the first one out of all 8 of mine that do this. since she is new and in a tank by herself, just wanted to check.
I have rays that float around and swim all the time. dont just sit on the bottom all day, but I have a few that just stay on the bottom and might from time to time float around.. so I guess it just depends on the ray....

maybe the ray is still trying to adjust with the new environment, as long as the ray is eating, i think she'll be fine. Please make sure that there is enough aeration.

mine was at the top so i took the gravel out that i thought would work for the stingray, and it went to the bottom. Also mine does the same thing with the bubbler
