Ok my Creek Chub ate a worm today and about 10 minutes later I walked by the tank and 1/2 the worm was hanging out its butt!!!

Shortly after it passed the entire worm whole!!!!!!

I have never seen a fish do this, is it normal and if not what the heck is going on and what can I do?

No the worm wasnt large, he has eaten over twice as much before with no issues.

The worm didn't die. It crawled through. That's a Lemmiwinks worm. Pretty awesome.

What do you mean what do I mean? Remember the epic tale of Lemmiwinks, the gerbil that journeyed through Mr. Slave's digestive tract? That's what I'm referring to. :D

Back on topic (trying to take my mind off Lemmiwinks):

Did the fish re-eat the worm? I guess it is entirely possible that it crawled through the digestive tract. Might chop a worm up and let him eat the smaller pieces and see if he passes them just as fast. If not then I'd guess there are no problems.

(Didn't help my problem)

I took the worm from the tank as soon as he passed it, incase there was some issue with the worm, plus my fish has class he dont eat poop... :irked: LOL

As for small pieces, I did that and fed him flakes, no issues. :)

I bet it was an uncomfortable turd, the full worm, it was quite large compared to normal.
