what kind of skimmer do you have? Yes it is normal for that to happen you need to adjust it so it will no longer do it. When you let us know which one you have we will try to help you fix the prob

I am not familure with the Jebco brand protein skimmer so I am at a disavantage of offering good advise on it. I agree that it sounds like it needs to be adjusted. On a typical hang on p/s you can only adjust the amount of air sucked thru the venturi. From the looks of your picture, I'd say you need to decrease the amount of air going into the skimmer. THe typical hang on p/s are really bad about getting tiny bubbles into your water and making it look cloudy. A sponge from an aqua clear power filter strategically placed inside of the skimmer can act as a bubble diffuser. I have done this many time on CPR BacPac skimmers. If you try this, make sure you don't make a situation where water flow can be blocked from getting back into the aquarium and overflow on the floor. I'll look into Jebco this afternoon and see if I canlearn any additional information about it....

I too had the same problem with the Jebo skimmer.

I own one, and it works well for me.. It just takes 2-4 weeks to 'break-in' and develop a slime coating so that the micro-bubbles don't enter the tank. If you read the instructions properly, it said to rinse very well under water first, which I didn't do and it took even longer to 'break-in'..

Microbubbles will harm your live rock, and your fish, so be careful.. I just put mine in a 10g tank with some decaying food, lighting and a small chunk of liverock to get things going..

Adjust the venturi valve until the bubbles have disappeared. You might then be able to slowly bring it back to where you originally had it at. My seaclone100 used to do that sometimes.

i just adjusted the vavle, but now bubbles keep coming inside the cup, eventhough i adjusted it...

if your talking about the collection cup that's what is subpost to do. As long as they aren't going into the tank

oh okie
hahahaha...sorry i didnt know, stupid of me..yeah is going into the cup....
