is this ok for a bristle nose pleco

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It will be fine. When it is on the wall it is feeding off the bacterial film. BN do this! It is far more active with lights out as they are nocturnal. Yes as was mentioned tell "DAD" your tank needs to have day and night cycles. Fish actually sort of sleep. Get your pleco some algae wafers too.

ok thank i will get some algea wafers soon and i will try to feed it some veggies and based on the first pic how old it is and is it sexually mature and how can i convince my dad toet me give it vegatables he doesnt want it in there because he say the water will be cloudy and smelly

i think vegetables have much less smell than other foods for fish.
maybe share some info on your fish with your parents so they understand as well.

all my bn's eat zuchinni and sweet potatoes, only put them in over night maybe twice a week and your water will be fine. you should put the algae wafers in maybe an hour after the lights go out your pleco should be swimming around looking for food by then. Hint tell your dad that only having the light on for less than 10 hours a day saves on the light bill.
