i got some shrimp from the grocery store that dont have any bones in them and my long nose ate a peice of it. its the first time hes ate something besides feeders.

thanks just wondering. cuz i read on here all the time that you all feed it to yalls gars. i also tried to get my silver aros to take it but they wouldnt.

i had to hold it on a feeding stick and wiggle it in front of his mouth. i didnt think he was gonna take it.

Shrimp are invertebrates...they dont have bones. :D
and yes, they are actually a great diet for these fish. are they cooked or raw shrimp? raw is better (nutritionally) for the fish.

If you can get it eating shrimp your life will be a lot easier. Your aro should eventually eat it too.
