If your short on money, you can buy a cheaper HOB filter like AquaClear.

Get rid of the oscar NOW!!! It's easy to get rid of fish while they are still small.

Well, get what you want and can afford.

I ran 2x FX5's on a 180gal. Didn't really see the point to run 3 on a 180gal.

save the prefilter money, then with that giant allowance you have, add some cash and get the skimmer...would that work?

hahah its not giant but ya that would work!

I have a hob ac110 for my 45 gallon tank that currently houses 14 dats(3 ntts, 11 indos). They range from 1"-4". The ac110 has been able to handle the bio load very well and my tank looks very crisp. I also like the fact that the maintenance is really easy.I am currently upgrading to a 110 gallon and bought 2 more ac110s for that tank. Keep an eye out on craigslist and you can usually find deals on there, just make sure you see it run before you fork over any cash.
