Is this Ornatus?!

How can you call them drab lol. They do grow so slooow tho...at least my juv ones are. These are my adults. My male almost got killed by the bigger female...that would ahve been her 2nd male slaughter.

large male first then the larger female...I have another large female not as big and the killer...that female can be seen in the vid...I moved her out when I pulled the dividers and the large male and female were trying to kill her....before the female tried to kill him. She went nuts on the lyonsi in the tank...at first the lyonsi was ragging the ornatum...then she hit the switch and I moved her to another tank alone.

And this is what that big ol female did to the 2 males so far...the first one was saved...one day and over night he looked like this. The first male wasnt so lucky...he took it for one night too.

Wow Nolagt your Ornatus look Flawless! (so does your lyonsi too lol ;)) I deff gotta pick up some ornatus. How big are your ornatus? How big is your Lyonsi?
 
Man im sorry to hear that about your 2 males =( at least one of them was saved though! She look like she put a hurtin on both of them though she must be hyper aggressive haha

Those in the pics are about 8-9"...the killer female is slightly bigger than the male and he is slightly bigger than the female that was with the lyonsi. The lyonsi is a female about 7-8" or so I guess.

Yeah she is a men one I guess...she is also the bigger of them so that might be it...my male might need to be bigger to dom her. When I first pulled the divider he was whoppin on her so I was hopeful...then as the day went on the tides turned...I chanced it over night and he was not so good in the morning. For a few days I was uncertain...he would just sorta wobble in the current...he had nubs for side fins for a while...but today he is all good and redy to try again lol.
 
Nolagt those are some nice ornatum man!! I hope mine end up looking like that. Here are my 10 still pretty small in my 300g. Hoping I get a pair or two out of all these..
