should i put a bubbler in my 20 gallon?, im filtering it with a box filter that is strong enough for 70 gallon so theres a good amount of movement

I think that that would be a decent amount of aeration.

Why not use it also. Or you could lower the water level just a little so it push more oxygen into the water. If it were me I would just use the bubbler too.

ok ill just leave it, thanks bulldovii

Remember, adding an air stone does actually add oxygen to the water. The action of the bubbles rising to the surface creates a current that brings water from the bottom of the tank to the top. The bubbles stretch the surface tension of the water creating more surface area allowing more water to gas off and thus transfer O2 and CO2. I don't want to create a debate, but air stone bubblers aren't meant for "oxygenation". If the current in the tank is adequate, air stones aren't really necessary.

fish looks happier now that i took it out(2 inch green terror) hes more active before it seemed it was disturbing him and he was hiding, hes more active now. i guess ill wait until i get my 40 breeder than i may throw it back in. it might have been just a little too much for the fish. thanks anyway guys
