Is this Overstocked?

^ certainly not "happy" changing so much water, but thats what keeps the nitrates low therefore fish healthy so i dont mind. I dont remember the last time i had ammonia test positive.. probably when i was still setting this up, and i used a bunch of seeded media and decor from the get go so the BB in the 70 is very well established.

Im thinking the in-tank algae screen along with pothos could help reduce the WCs to once a week, what do you guys think? Does using both have any negative effects on each other?

Not sure about the algae screen, but pothos are tried and tested, a big plant would certainly reduce your nitrates but with that many fish in a smaller tank I'd still keep up with fairly large and regular water changes.

Oh yes, even if I had half the fish I'd probably still do 50% a week at the least.. I've noticed fish grow much faster and are more outgoing the cleaner the water is (pretty obvious) so I don't like any nitrate building up.. even 10 ppm bothers me haha keeps my room smelling better too, all 3 of my tanks are in my 18 x 6 foot room lol
