Is this pBass or Emperor Cichlid? Need Help.

I was told by my LFS that these are Emperor Cichlids. I bought 4 of them. After close examination, I kind of feel that these resemble more closely to Peacock Bass.

Is it too early to tell or can somebody identify them? If they are pBass, which sub category they belong to? Please help. Appreciate very much.

Okay then, Cichla it is. Any chance of identifying which sub category they belong to? Is it too early to tell? What are the markings I should be looking for?

Looks like Cichla orinocensis to me. Give them some cover and let them color up a bit. Once they settle in it will become easier to ID them.
