Is this pBass or Emperor Cichlid? Need Help.

Not orinos with the black going through the tail. Too early to say 100% but its between an Ocell, mono, or a hybrid between the two.
 
It just amazes me the lack of knowledge of many LFS.

I wouldnt be worried if it was just a different species of bass because they are hard to tell the difference sometimes but.... I guess in this case you have to give them credit because at least it is a cichlid hahaha.

Absolutely correct. Fortunately in this case I was originally looking for pBass and was willing to settle with Emperor cichlids. So I'm quite okay with the final outcome. I know this guy was not lying to me. It is just what he knew. I'll try to explain the difference to him during my next visit to LFS, if he is willing to listen.
