So i have decided to get a new pump for my 150, i was thinking about this one, or run this on my (2) 125 ones. Well let me know thanks
submersible pump is 1/6 hp
20 gpm
so 1200 per hour

No.. But allot of people here utilize lrger pumps.. It is not necessarily a need if you are not overstocked.. But most people from what i've read as well as myself like to have there tank turn 10 times.. Mind you my tank doesn't turn ten times.

My question would be how loud is that pump? And is it going to bother me when i am watching tv :)

it might be a good idea to use two smaller pumps instead of one big one. If one quits working the other will keep your tank running.

I only turn my tanks over 4 times an hour. Its all about the media area.

^^^^^^This

I dont think 10x is necessary with large tanks and large sump filters.

i got 1800 and 950 on my 180

I never had a submersible pump that I liked. They use a lot of "juice" for the amount of flow they produce, heat the water somewhat, and don't seem to last for any amount of time compared to a good quality external. If your set on doing submersible, it doesn't matter, but I would get a Sequence, Little Giant, Iwaki, or Blue Line external, and forget about it. You'll likely tear the tank down long before the pump quits.
