Is this regular Jack dempsey coloration?

JDs can be quite varied in coloration, in nature.
I have seen almost black, brown, and many derivations.
The 2 in the pic below are in cenote Cristalino.

To be a little more in depth about what happened the first one sold as a male that turned put to be a female (it was kinda bleached out) with ick. So I took that back and got the male which got mauled after an hour by my female so off to another return trip. The guy who thought the male was 'certain to be a match' gave me a juvi male someone traded in and my money.
