i was also interested in putting this setup together as well. i was at the local petshop and they told me that as long as one another can't fit in each other's mouth they should do fine as tank mates.

Well, I think I'll try it....maybe keep a really close eye on them. I gotta let my aro get back to eatting normally first.

the only problem, i see is. when it comes to feeding time. i want my aro to eat both gf and pellets. i just hope when i'm trying to feed the ck guppies/gf that the aro doesn't scope them up first.

I've actually got this combo. My 7" CK and a 6" Jardini. So far so good so long as I kept them both fed. The Arow gets fed first on stix or pellets till he's full, then I drop blood worms in for the CK. They seem to have decided that each gets an end of the tank and the two shall not cross paths....unless I drop guppies in there...then it's every fish for himself.

should work out fine

My Aro and CK started out together when they were small. CK was 2.5" and the Aro was 3.5" and now they're both over 10" living peacefully together...for the most part.

Well, after yesterday I'm gonna have to change my thoughts on this one. The Jar decided that the CK was an invader, and the CK took offence and whooped his butt. So The Jar is now in a recovery tank, and I'm pissed at my own foolishness. Don't try this unless you have another tank to seperate them in case it happens to you.

Interesting...how big are your fish now? CK? ARO?

I have always had that combination, with nary a problem...
