Is this some kind of Amphilophus?

I changed out my black sand with natural colored sand from the kings river and got a new aqua glow bulb and his colors just made such a change i thought maybe someone can give me an id now. the last two pics are the with the new sand. the first pic is him over black sand which darkened apprently made him almost unicolor. Ive looked all over trying to find similar fish and no luck. Give me your ideas. thanks!

its not synspilum that for sure but it is some kind of vieja or vieja x amphilophus

hes only 4'' max and showing those colors. i think im deffinately gonna have to get the other one thats still at the store.

Looks like my old rose queen before she peeled and turned a bright reddish orange. Rose queens are a cross between a synspilum and red devil I'm told.
