One more question though, is all quartz type substrate really that sharp(and also with the red color)?
If you can dig your hand into it comfortably when rinsing it, it must not be all that sharp, neh? Now if your hand comes out covered in scratches, or it feels like it's sanding off your calluses, you could have an issue.
Washing the sand now.... 50kg of sand washing is no joke. I rinse them bag by bag (10kg). 5x rinse it.
The water was so dirty and the film on the surface was disgusting! Had to stir it HARD during each rinse to get clearer water.
So far I've done 3 bags... and vomitted (yes I'm not that physically fit and didn't have my dinner)
Going to relax, have dinner + bath, watch a movie before continuing with the last 2 bags.
