I'm thinking about buying this 180 gallon tank, but it doesn't have a stand. They agreed to take $400 for it.180.PNG
So do you think it's a good deal? I asked them for some pictures of the silicone to make sure it was in good shape, but they said they couldn't get a good picture since it was full of water, but they said it was in good shape. It's fairly close to where I live.

Hell yeah. I tried looking for 180+ tanks all around me and people are asking double that. Bigger tanks have become scarce atleast down here

Yeah, I'd say it's a good deal. Maybe not great though. And you'll probably want to upgrade the lights if they're halides. Plus you're going to have to build or buy a stand, that's going to be a good chunk of money.

I personally suggest building the stand if you have the skills to do so. My 180 gallon outlasted the original stand so I had to build one.

Personally i would call lfs near you if they can get you a 180 in the $500- $600 range new... i would go new.... reasons being... obv new, no scratches and warranty. Imo thats worth the extra $100-$200 easy.

The cheapest new 180 I found was for $900 plus $200 shipping since there were none locally, and that's too expensive.
