What about the dimensions of your tank? Dimensions have as much to do with stocking as does volume.

BTW the tank converts out to be 47.5 U.S. gallons.

Keeping sevs and discus together is not recommended, as stated above.

But to answer your question. No, both fish should get to be near a foot long way too big for a 20g tank. Not to mention both fish are schooling fish.

Sorry, I havent figured out how to make a new thread and this was related to the question I had- I work at a pet store and a guy wanted to buy a single bala shark (which was already 5") to add to the single tinfoil barb in his 20g tank. I refused to sell it to him for those reasons. Just making sure I wasnt being paranoid. Back to thread- Thanks.
