Is this tank safe?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don’t think that would work as it would make the bottom uneven, personally I think it will be fine and should really affect the integrity of the tank as long as there are no cracks
The chipped area is on the side of the tank, not the bottom.

For the cost of a 40 gallon I honestly think I would just replace it.
It’s not that I can’t afford a new one, it’s that i want to take this situation as a learning experience and fix it myself if it needs to be fixed.

Agreed, if it's in the garage or something where water damage won't matter so much, go for it, personally I wouldn't put that inside on wood flooring. Would just wait for Petco dollar per gallon sale and get another if need it inside

I'd definitely junk the cat rather than trying to fix it.
I have jokingly considered putting him right back outside where I originally found him a few times when he acted up lol.
