Seems like this is the answer with all these crazy gas prices. And it looks like Chevy is pretty serious about producing the their electric car, the Volt. I'd be interested in getting one.

Thoughts?

I think that we will be seeing A LOT more electric cars in the near future. Salem has one dealer that sells nothing but electric-only vehicles. You see more and more driving around as well. Once they get the range up over 200 miles I'll be getting one!

really, thats awesome! what kind of cars are they and what are the prices? im really set on getting an electric car. forgot all this hyrbid ethanol hype

What happens when the batteries low and you have to drive up a hill lol...I think electric/hybrid is the answer not hybrid/gas. Oil has gotten to lucrative...

well i hope that they will have thought of that by the time the car goes on sale! lol i just think that gasoline as a fuel for mass transportation is coming to the end of its days - soon

One downside of electric cars is the impact on the blind. Literally.........:D
They run completely silent. Think about it.

That is a very interesting thought.

and for those who said hybrid/electiric is the way not hybrid/gas. think about what you are saying ANY car that is capable of running on two seperate fuel sources is a hybrid. I think the wording you are looking for is electric/hydrogen hybrid therefore NO oil dependacy

This is great if we get a lot more nuclear power plants. I think it's funny that they claim 0 emissions too. That electricity has to come from somewhere!
