Is this tiny BGK sick, stressed or? (no black on face)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would just increase the heat and keep the water as pristine as possible. I think the above mentioned idea of reducing the lighting would be good too because they are noctournal and he may feel more comfortable.

He was out so i snapped a pic...Notice the black starting to come back!

That almost looks like a natural discoloration, perhaps a birthmark. A huge stretch but MAYBE!

BGK should have as little light as they can get. Live blackworms are great for them. Make sure he has a cave or something to hide in, perhaps two even. Mine has three spots that he cycles through. He looks pretty good, and if he is eating, good for it.

Keep updates? Im curious about the outcome of this case.

Great job, sti888!! Doesn't it feel good to know you (beyond a doubt) saved a fish's life??

Yes it does! He is so cool too....This is my 1st Ghost knife and he rolls over and does flips and such....He is one funny swimmer! He's alot like a dog hehe.

I have one of these guys he is about 15" atm and use salt in my tanks. Just does at half rate and make very sure that the salt is disolved before adding to the tank. They do thive on very clean water. Mix the variety of food up for they can become fussy. Good luck.
