If dark= stressed, why are my NTTs black when i switch the lights on in the mornings? they are in the least stressed environment while the lights are off. As soon as the lights go on they lighten up.
^ Have you noticed that most fish change color when in rest mode. With Dats, dark can mean it is unstable or more likely stressed, mine was dark until it got to about 5 or 6".
