OP, I'm not sure what you are asking here. Are you asking if your bichirs can eat tilapia or if they can eat Bacon.

Tilapia - I don't see why not
Bacon- absolutely not

I'm asking if the fat from the bacon would be and protein for them ?

No it is not a suitable source of protean for your fish. You should not feed terrestrial meat to your fish. Talapia is fine no bacon ever.........

Bacon agreed not for fish will make water too greasy. however I do feed my cichlids, chicken, turkey, beef heart and an occasional hot dog? never had any issues
