My hubby and I each have our own hobbies that take up space. Our basement is pretty evenly divided between my fish room and his recordio studio/music gear and woodworking shop.

He is super supportive of it. When we talk about what to do in a given day, he always asks if I need anything at any of the fish stores. He even goes to fish stores without me, just to see if they have anything I might be interested in. He never complains at all about the huge numbers of tanks in the house. I spend my money, so that's not even an issue. When I got my 210 gal tank, he helped me plan out a DIY tank stand and did a good chunk of the building on his own for me.

He's even picked up enough knowledge from me to give advice to folks he works with. Makes me smile...:).
That's totally cool, you are lucky!

my hubby tolerates my obsession.. though he hates waterchanges, so i try to do those by myself (i have trouble getting the lid off the 180-im only 5'2").

however, hes always on the lookout for a good deal on a large tank-he knows i want another 180.

I started with a ten gallon, Now I have 6 tanks set up with the largest only being a 120. My dad and I are really into fish keeping but my mom and girl friend are quite indifferent (I still live at home; College student). I brought home a free ten gallon tank the other day for a back up fry tank and my mom about had a heart attack. Some people just don't understand how valuable and awarding it is keeping your own ecosystem in a tank of water. I love fish keeping and breeding fish, it's my winter hobby! :headbang2 There is no way I'd ever stop keeping fish!!!

Seems like a perfect reason to go 640 gallons to m.
That way, when she longs for those looks you used to give her, she can take a 82 degree dip in the tank...
Then hand her the algae scrapper, and say "work it baby!".
2 birds 1 stone, she's happy, you're happier, and you'll have that 640g that every Monster fishKeeper should have...:D:D:D

:WHOA: OMG! I just fell out of my seat:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

My wife is ok with it as long as I don't spend money. :nilly::ROFL::WHOA:

She's just as insane as me when it comes to the fish keeping, only difference I know(mostly) what goes with what when she says 'can we get one of them';)

Even to the point of 'where are we going to put that', 'I'll find somewhere for it'. It's getting silly, we are going to have to extend the house for all the tanks;)

If in doubt MFK:D
