My wife is happy that I am at home.....and yes she loves my australian natives (all my tanks are in my garage....so beer time also)

My wife didn't want me to get a tank in the first place, but she does seem to enjoy it now that we have one. She loves checking out the fish in the store with me and gets really involved with the tank. The problem is that whenever a fish dies she really can't handle it. She cries for hours and says that she doesn't want us to get any more fish now. She has actually called me while I was at work twice because she thought our pleco was dead and convinced me to come home. Both times the fish was fine. Any advice on helping her deal with the loss of a fish?

I am coming to the realization that the ...eh hem...wife really like my fish, but doesn't want to admit her previous statements were wrong. She seems to always follow me into the basement nowadays. You know...just looking.

I consider myself super lucky. My current G/F loves my tanks and even loves to go fishin with me! (Plus she doesnt drink much so she DD's for us too!!!!) But we dont live together my folks love the hobby but it had to grow on em! My dad actually has a 15 gal for himself and he loves it! He also helps me with my 55 and 90 gals and LOVES my oscar!

I also consider myself lucky as my wife also enjoys my tanks. She doesn't do any of the maintenance but loves to watch them with me.

Oh and she gets excited when the mom is holding

I like reading what people said. My g/f also loves fish, mainly Africans and dolphins... But complains at me for keeping piranhas and others, but we love the hobby.
