Very nice. I'm growing out a pair right now. They are becoming one of my favorite fish I've kept.

Looking great! I just got a little one from TUIC a couple of days ago. He was going to grow out in a 55 with some baby Amphilophus lyonsis I also got on the same order. But he was considerably bigger than them, and I know they get meaner, so I put him in a 30 gallon long by himself until he gets big enough for one of the larger tanks. I only ordered one, because I know they are prone to bloat and dying when young. So I just decided to try one and see how I do with it. I ordered the 1.25-1.50 inch size. So young, not much to look at yet.

My plan is to grow out this 'red' male along with 7" 'green' male & a 5" male grammode as wet pets there for insuring they stay in perfect condition. Though I am seriously considering finding a female for the particular istlanum as I would hate to see the blood line stop with him. Now all I need is a male beani and haitiensis to complete my collection
