Just got two 5" Kelberis 6 days ago, started to pellet train them. Along side 2 smaller temensis who are already pellet trained.

One of them had split fins and I did regular WC with salt to get him back in shape so I suppose my water condition is fine right now.

Have been starving them for almost a week.

They haven't eaten yet and also I dont know if are suffering from any ick? I don't know if it is because of the air bubbles that stick on them as they are always at the corner of my tank where my overhead filter pumps water out and produces a lot of bubbles.

Any experts out there to give me suggestions , tips & eyes to see if my Kelberi is sick?

Planning to get some massivores or carnivore sticks tomorrow . I heard they don't smell like ordinary pellets and that it's my best chance to get them pellet trained especially with my two 3-4" inch Temensis hammering Aro food sticks I throw in the tank.

Water parameters are fine. My other temensis are healthy and actively swimming around waiting for me to feed them.

Only worry is the shy kelberis who sticks to one corner of the tank.

Kind of hard to say from those pics if your Kelberi got ich. They do look beat up though, so they likely are really stressed. How did you introduce them into your tank? It almost looks like they are still in acclimation shock? Were they eating and thriving at the lfs you got them from? What's your temp in the tank?

I got them from the LFS when they just got shipped in. So I don't think they were fed yet although staff there told me they will eat anything when their hungry including pellets.

when releasing and introducing him to my tank I floated the bag for a good 30 mins and slowly introduced water in for a good 10 mins before letting him swim out.

Forgot to add on why they may have drop scales and all. As I was trying to catch this beauty he flew out of the water and landed in between two tanks. Maybe that's why the body looks like it is in a bad shape.

Is you check out the pics here, there is a photo of him when I just got him he looks perfectly fine in my tank and the other beat up photo is currently what both of them look like today just that this kel looks worst.

Weather and climate here in Singapore is pretty warm so I do not have a heater. But I'm definitely sure water quality and temperature is not of an issue especially if my two other small juvi Temensis are thriving with if appetites

Could it be the shock from jumping out of the tank and landing in between tanks? The kels get really spooked when I place a net into the water or even shine a light to get a better look at them,They will start trashing.

Really need help here I really have No idea what to do. Dropped a MP with pellets in them no reaction.

I was throwing pellets at the tank and managed to get the interest of one kel fins came up swimming against the tank . When I threw the pellet in however he got spooked.

Managed to take a clearer pic of the bubbles on the fish as well.

The other pic shows you what they do 3/4 of the day

Kels are woooses for so long... I would doubt it if they were fed live before you got them. They wont hit pellets right away. Whats the tank temp at? My kels were panises all the wat to 11 inches lol.

Thats def ich. High heat and good water should fix them. Bump up to mid 80s and add a air stone if you dont have lots of surface aggitation

Small bass are fragile and very prone to ich. Yours have some size so hopefully they will pull through but id get them back to health before trying to get them on pellets. Just get them eating good, some people recommend adding garlic to their diet to help immune system. Once ich is gone in a week then you can worry about what they eat.
