Ok lately my fish have been acting strange... i dont know what it is but im starting to get concerned. This morning i cleaned the tank as i do everyweek... 30% water change and the normal chemicals which keep my tank 100% almost all the time... and i came back from the store with feeders for them as usual and they ate all the feeders, now i just looked in the tank and there is a bunch of reguratated feeders half digested all over the bottom of the tank? i dont get it this is the second time they have done this in two weeks and im getting concerned. But today they are doing somethign alittle different they are circling the top of the tank mouth up to the top of the water? it doesnt make sense to me but i dont want to loose my fish so someone help please:(

get those dead fish out of the tank.. do a large water change 50% or more and add some bio-spira. check your filter pads too.. might be some dead fish in your filter.. get all the dead fish out of the tank ASAP.

yeah i took all the dead fish out, and the water seems to be ok? what could it be?the jurapari and the gar are perfectly fine and the bass seem to be ok as well now?

ok doesnt look like there getting sick anymore, however they are still kinda nose up to the top of the water from time to time... so i just added another air pump for some more oxygen and also aimed the exit valve of my fx5 to the top of the water to create some bubbles on the top as well... i hope this all helps

Yeh that will help, the more oxygen going into the water the better.
You should never leave half eaten food in the tank as this may cause an ammonia spike, which is definately not good for your fish.
How long were the half eaten feeders left in the tank for?
How are they going now? Keep us updated...

Glen dont fret everything will be fine bro......why you fed your pbass feeders anyways???? there not lil cichla are they???

the Bio-Spira will quickly help cycle the added ammonia from the rotting carcasses.

the holes on the FX5 intake tube are kinda big.. might want to seriously check inside the filter for more rotten uneaten fish. Mine gets clogged with snails all the time, i've had it apart twice to clean out snails and snail carcasses.. and i bought new filter pads this time because the old ones are looking a little raggedy.

there all 6" plus... i have tried and tried to get them off feaders sooo many times i pretty much gave up. i wish they didnt eat feeders it would save me time during the week since i have pellets and krill. thank you i will take apart the filter today and look inside
